Climate change is widely accepted to be one of the most critical problems faced by the Huang-Huai-Hai Plain (3H Plain), which is a region in which there is an over-exploitation of groundwater region and where future warmer and drought conditions might intensify crop water demand. In this study, the spatiotemporal patterns of ET0 and primary driving meteorological variables were investigated based on a historical and RCP 8.5 scenario daily data set from 40 weather stations over the 3H Plain using linear regression, spline interpolation method, a partial derivative analysis and multivariate regression. The results indicated a negative trend in all the analysis periods (except spring) of the past 54 years of which only summer and the entire year were statistically significant (p < 0.01) with slopes of -1.09 and -1.30 mm·a-1 respectively. In contrast, a positive trend was observed in all four seasons and the entire year under the RCP 8.5 scenario, with the biggest increment equal to 1.36 mm·a-1 in summer and an annual increment of 3.37 mm·a-1. The spatial patterns of the seasonal and annual ET0 exhibited the lowest values in southeastern regions and the highest values in northeastern parts of Shandong Province, probably because of the combined effects of various meteorological variables over the past 54 years. Relative humidity (RH) together with solar radiation (RS) were detected to be the main climatic factors controlling the reduction of ET0 in summer, autumn, and the entire year on the 3H Plain. ET0 in spring was mainly sensitive to changes in RS and RH, whereas ET0 in winter was most sensitive to changes in wind speed (WS) and decreased due to declining RH. Under the future RCP 8.5 scenario, the annual ET0 distribution displays a rich spatial structure with a clear northeast-west gradient and anarea with low values in the southern regions, which is similarly detected in spring and summer. The most sensitive and primary controlling variables with respect to the increment of future ET0 are in the first place RS and then mean temperature in spring, while turn to be mean temperature and then RS in summer. In autumn, future ET0 is most sensitive to RH changes. WS and RH are the controlling variables for ET0 in winter. Annual future ET0 is most sensitive to RH changes and accordingly RS is responsible for the predicted increment of the annual ET0. Better understanding of current and future spatiotemporal patterns of ET0 and of the regional response of ET0 to climate change can contribute to the establishment of a policy to realize a more efficient use of water resources and a sustainable agricultural production in the 3H Plain. Depuis presque vingt ans maintenant, le champ des littéracies académique suscite de très nombreuses publications, comme en témoigne la liste non exhaustive qui suit : Lidil n°17 (1998), Fintz (1998), Le français aujourd’hui n°125 (1999), Pollet (2001, 2014), Lidil n°24 (2001), Spirale n°29 (2002), Enjeux n°53 et 54 (2002), Scheepers (2002, 2009, 2013), Pratiques nos121-122 (2004), Lidil n°34 (2006), Donahue (2008), Diptyque n°18 (2010), Lidil n°41 (2010), Blaser & Pollet (2010), Tutin & Grossmann (2013), Gravet (2014)… Or il faut bien constater que rares sont les travaux consacrés aux brouillons estudiantins, si l’on excepte quelques références clairsemées, parmi lesquelles Alcorta (2001), Crinon & Guigue (2003), Scheepers (2009)… Pourtant, nombreuses furent les études dévolues aux brouillons d’écoliers, de collégiens et de lycéens : Boré (2000), Reuter (2000, 2004), Alcorta (2001), Fabre-Cols (2001), Doquet (2011), Kervyn & Faux (2014), Crinon & Marin (2014), Kervyn (à paraitre)… Ce à quoi il faut ajouter le numéro 144 du Français aujourd’hui (2004), le numéro 55 de Recherches (2011), les numéros 105-106 de Pratiques (2000) ou le numéro 10 de Repères (1994). Dès 1996, Sylvie Plane, bientôt rejointe par Jean-Paul Bernié (1998), en vient à considérer que, dans le champ de la recherche, tout semble se passer comme si l’on était passé d’une focalisation sur le produit fini à une centration sur l’activité de production. Dès lors, le brouillon semble définitivement exhumé des poubelles où il était trop longtemps resté cantonné. De la même manière, la dissertation, genre scolaire par excellence, a donné lieu à de très nombreuses études : Delforce (1985, 1992), Delcambre (1997), Donahue (2008), Schneuwly & Dolz (2009), Scheepers (2013), sans compter le numéro 68 de Pratiques (1990) ou le numéro 123 du Français aujourd’hui (1998). Mais, à notre connaissance tout du moins, seules Francine Darras et Isabelle Delcambre (1989-2011) se sont penchées sur les brouillons de dissertations. Pour ce faire, elles ont pris en compte vingt copies de lycéens de seconde. Par conséquent, la finalité de cette contribution est de croiser les apports des recherches inscrites dans le champ des littéracies académiques aux travaux dévolus aux brouillons et aux dissertations pour analyser les brouillons de dissertations produits par nos étudiants de troisième année du baccalauréat en langues et lettres françaises, romanes, germaniques et classiques. La principale question qui s’inscrit au cœur de notre réflexion sera la suivante : quelles stratégies de brouillonnement mobilisent les étudiants pour produire une dissertation lors d’un examen ? Background: Severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) can be caused by loss-of-function mutations in genes involved in the DNA recombination machinery, such as RAG1, RAG2 or DCLRE1C. Defective DNA recombination causes a developmental block in T cells and B cells, resulting in high susceptibility to infections. Hypomorphic mutations in the same genes can also give a partial loss of T cells, in a spectrum including leaky SCID (LS) and Omenn syndrome (OS). These patients not only develop life-threatening infections due to immunodeficiency, but also develop inflammatory/autoimmune conditions due to the presence of autoreactive T cells. Objective: We sought to develop a preclinical model that fully recapitulates the symptoms of LS/OS patients including a model for testing therapeutic intervention. Methods: We generated a novel mutant mouse (Dclre1c leaky) that develops a LS phenotype. Mice were monitored for diseases and immune phenotype and immune function were evaluated using flow cytometry, ELISA and histology. Results: Dclre1c leaky mice present with a complete blockade of B cell differentiation, with a leaky block in T cell differentiation resulting in an oligoclonal TCR repertoire and enhanced cytokine secretion. Dclre1c leaky mice also developed inflammatory symptoms including wasting, dermatitis, colitis, hypereosinophilia and high IgE levels. Development of a preclinical murine model for LS allowed the testing of potential treatment, with administration of CTLA4-Ig reducing disease symptoms and immunological disturbance, resulting in increased survival. Conclusion: These data suggest that CTLA4-Ig should be evaluated as a potential treatment of inflammatory symptoms in LS and OS patients. [less ▲]

Riparian buffers are of major concern for land and water resource managers despite their relatively low spatial coverage. In Europe, this concern has been acknowledged by different environmental directives which recommend multi-scale monitoring (from local to regional scales). Remote sensing methods could be a cost-effective alternative to field-based monitoring, to build replicable “wall-to-wall” monitoring strategies of large river networks and associated riparian buffers. The main goal of our study is to extract and analyze various parameters of the riparian buffers of up to 12,000 km of river in southern Belgium (Wallonia) from three-dimensional (3D) point clouds based on LiDAR and photogrammetric surveys to i) map riparian buffers parameters on different scales, ii) interpret the regional patterns of the riparian buffers and iii) propose new riparian buffer management indicators. We propose different strategies to synthesize and visualize relevant information at different spatial scales ranging from local (<10 km) to regional scale (>12,000 km). Our results showed that the selected parameters had a clear regional pattern. The reaches of Ardenne ecoregion have channels with the highest flow widths and shallowest depths. In contrast, the reaches of the Loam ecoregion have the narrowest and deepest flow channels. Regional variability in channel width and depth is used to locate management units potentially affected by human impact. Riparian forest of the Loam ecoregion is characterized by the lowest longitudinal continuity and mean tree height, underlining significant human disturbance. As the availability of 3D point clouds at the regional scale is constantly growing, our study proposes reproducible methods which can be integrated into regional monitoring by land managers. With LiDAR still being relatively expensive to acquire, the use of photogrammetric point clouds combined with LiDAR data is a cost-effective means to update the characterization of the riparian forest conditions. Daté paléographiquement de la seconde moitié du IVe siècle, ce dernier présente la particularité de contenir des textes à la fois grecs et latins, profanes et chrétiens, tous écrits par la même main. Après avoir décrit et analysé les signes, symboles et ornementation attestés dans l’Hadrianus, on les comparera avec ceux que l’on trouve dans le reste du codex de Montserrat, ainsi que dans d’autres papyrus datés de la même époque. In European legal scholarship, many articles discuss the equilibrium reached in the case-law of the Court of Justice of the European Union (“CJEU”) when the EU antitrust prohibitions apply to, and restrain, the free and ordinary use of intellectual property rights (“IPRs”). We call this the antitrust-IP intersection. The most interesting feature of this literature is perhaps the common assumption that a unifying substantive perspective, vision or theory on IPR underpins the intersection point reached by the antitrust case-law. Whilst the theory of “absolutism” can be quickly disposed of, several other theories like inherency, exceptionalism or complementarity have been described as the lynchpin of the antitrust-IP intersection. Our paper offers a different reading of the case-law. It submits that the antitrust-IP intersection does not rest on any unitary theory which, in turn, bespeaks the Court’s vision of the social function of IPRs. Instead, the main feature of the CJEU case-law is that a specific methodology is applied to antitrust cases with IPR ramifications. The CJEU deals with most of such cases under a rule-based approach, instead of a standard-based approach. By rule-based approach, we refer to the ex ante setting of structured tests of liability, by opposition to ex post case-by-case resolution on grounds of a pre-determined, general standard (e.g., reasonableness, competition on the merits, efficiency, fairness, equity, etc.). As will be seen below, this approach has many virtues, not least in terms of legal certainty. But it also has a major qualification. Whilst the Court has consistently formulated rules of liability and justifiability at the antitrust and IP intersection, it has at the same time often embedded abstract standards within those rules. Understanding how the productivity of water can be increased is widely accepted to be a high priority where water resources are currently scarce and/or over-exploited in China. As the primary data source, MODIS remote sensing, statistics, meteorological data, crop growth period data and ground truth-data from Jan. 2011 to Dec. 2012 were used in actual evapotranspiration estimation, yields rasterizing, and water productivity calculation for winter wheat in the Huang-Huai-Hai Plain (3H Plain). The statistical data were synthesized to calculate district-state-level land productivity, which is then further extrapolated to pixel-level values using a MODIS NDVI image, based on a crop dominance map. Spatial variation of crop water productivity was investigated in order to reveal the key factors of crop water productivity. In addition, the relationship between water productivity and actual evapotranspiration and in subsequence yield for winter wheat was discussed in 3H Plain. The main results indicated that the SEBAL is suitable for estimating evapotranspiration in winter wheat based on the comparation between evapotranspiration measured by Yucheng (in Shandong province). The regional average value of water productivity for winter wheat was detected to be 1.21kg·m-3, with the higher value in Beijing, Tianjin, north part of Shandong province and south part of Hebei province. The pronounced relationship of spatial correlation of the yield and water productivity for winter wheat indicated that the increasing yield governed the increment of water productivity for winter wheat in the coastal land-farming-fishing area (zone1), low plain-hydropenia irrigable land and dry land zone (zone2) and basin- irrigable land and dry land (zone5). The increasing water productivity for winter wheat was recognized to be controlled by rather the increment of yield than the reduction of actual evapotranspiration for winter wheat in the piedmont plain-irrigable land (zone2). Whereas, the pronounced relationship of negative correlation of water productivity and actual evapotranspiration for winter wheat described that only the reduction of actual evapotranspiration was responsible for the increment of water productivity for winter wheat in hill-wet hot paddy-paddy field (zone6). The results is expected to provide a basis information for agricultural water management, improvement of crop water productivity and choice of adaptive mechanism under climate change in Huang-Huai-Hai plain. This paper develops an in-situ methodology to help architects insure better inclusion of people with Down syndrome all along preliminary phases of the architectural design process, and eventually to the designed space. This methodology first offers architects some design keys in regard of how people with Down syndrome interact with two types of spaces: their personal dwellings and some completely unknown spaces. The methodology then unfolds towards more pro-active inclusion of the participants thanks to playful expression of their feelings and perceptions. It analyses Emile’ Benoît's textual and musical recreation of it in the light of my own and other fieldworkers’ accounts of his personality, ethos and creative talent in tradition. The study traces the song's course and progress in Newfoundland, following in the steps of French-Canadian ethno-historian Ronald Labelle’s suggestion that ‘Vive la Rose’ has come to function as identity emblem for Newfoundland’s francophone minority – and even as its representative throughout French-Canada and especially Acadia.
