Legal ressources

  • Guide juridique written by Laurence Thys, lawyer, attaché at the Library Network management team
    • This guide presents an overview on the author's rights and some specific points of law about the deposit in an open archive
  • Letter for a specific authorization to deposit - in french or in english
    • Letter template to send to publishers who have a unfavorable policy or no policy about open access, to request the permition to deposit in an open archive or repository
  • Addendum to a publishing contract - in french or in english
    • An amendment is a simple way to legally obtain the right to deposit in an open archive without having to entirely renegotiate the publishing contract. Do not hesitate to propose this model to your editor. Other organizations also offer their own addendum template (SPARC, MIT ...)

Training sessions

Some training sessions are regularly organized on the different campus (Gembloux, Liège center town, Sart-tilman and CHU).

4 themes are proposed :

  • Encoding within ORBi – key steps
  • Automatically create and distribute your publication lists via ORBi

These sessions are open to everybody : student, doctoral student, authors and representatives.

These open sessions can also an be organised for departments, services, teams... on request (minimum 10 participants).
