This book is written in French language with a naturalist and scientific approaches for a large public. After a historical introduction, the book is focused on the geology, geomorphology, and all the steps of ecological succession observed on these milieus; and the economy and culture around this slag heaps. A final chapter makes a synthesis on the ecology of these particular milieus.
