Abstract :
[en] Surgery is considered to be the standard treatment for intrahepatic malignancies, primary
cancers and metastatic lesions. However, a great many patients are not eligible for surgical
intervention. Modern stereotactic radiotherapy has the potential to be an effective alternative
treatment modality with low toxicity for patients with primary hepatocellular carcinoma
and liver oligometastases. In this paper we intend to review the current status and published
experiences in the field of liver irradiation.
