[en] Although retouched bladelets (Dufour or others) were not recovered, the Aurignacian assemblages from Mitoc-Malu Galben (Romania) probably belongs to the Krems-Dufour type Aurignacian. In the lithic material gathered by V. chirica in the 1980s, evidence indicates the existence of bladelet production from carinated tools/cores. A small unpublished lithic assemblage from the 1990s excavations, associated with a hearth, confirms this hypothesis. The operational schemes are described and compared to those from the western and eastern Aurignacian geographic regions.
