[en] Isolation from bovine cotyledon extracts of an hormone with somatotrophic and mammotrophic activity was performed using this hormone during the successive steps of purification, its prolactinic and somatotrophic activity was determined by radioreceptor assay. The purified hormone shows a prolactinic activity similar to that of PRL-NIH-B4 standard and a somatotrophic activity three times that of GH-NIH-B18 standard.
[fr] L'application de différents procédés de chromatographie a permis d'isoler une hormone à activité somatotrope et mammotrope à partir d'extraits cotylédonnaires foetaux de bovins. Pour identifier cette hormone au cours des différentes étapes de la purification, nous avons dosé son activité prolactinique et somatotrophique en utilisant la technique des radio-récepteurs. L'hormone purifiée présente une activité prolactinique comparable à celle du standard PRL-NIH-B4 et une activité somatotrope égale à trois fois celle du standard GH-NIH-B18.
