Abstract :	[en] Political representation and participation are two key concepts of the democratic life. They shape and are shaped by politics, policies and polities. As an introduction to the special issue we first reflect on these two concepts and their tremendous changes in the recent years. Then we briefly present the eight contributions of this special issue on political representation and participation.
	[fr] Représentation et participation politiques sont au cœur de la vie démocratique. Dans l’introduction de ce numéro spécial, nous réfléchissons sur les changements que connaissent ces deux concepts. Plus particulièrement nous nous interrogeons d’abord sur ce que d’aucuns qualifient de double crise : crise de la représentation, d’une part, crise de la participation, d’autre part. Ensuite, nous présentons brièvement les huit contributions du numéro spécial « Représentation et participation politiques ».
