Abstract :
[en] Physical, psychological and economical consequences of urinary incontinence of the elderly woman are underestimated. It often results in depression, social isolation and early institutionalisation. It is often the key factor that determines the decision of institutionalisation, which represent the most important part of the total cost of urinary incontinence. This problem is too often neglected and deserves considerable attention.
