Abstract :
[en] Fluorocurarine is isolated from the root barks of Strychnos usambarensis by Droplet Counter Current Chromatography (DCCC), a new technique of liquid/liquid chromatography. This quaternary alkaloid (previously identified in curare and South-Amercican Strychnos) is found for the first time in an African Strychnos. MS, CD, 1H and 13C NMR data are also provided.
