Abstract :	[en] New bis-indole alkaloids (strychnobiline and isostrychnobiline) were extracted from roots of Strychnos variabilis. The plane structures of these alkaloids have been elucidated. Nordihydrotoxiferine is also present in this African species of Strychnos.
