Abstract :
[en] An analysis of the discourse of Muertos incómodos (2005), written by Subcomandante Marcos and Paco Ignacio Taibo II, shows some outstanding differences between this novel and the stories that Marcos wrote before, Don Durito and el Viejo Antonio. These differences seem to implicate a change of priorities in the political agenda of this guerrilla fighter. In the first place, the Ecological aspect in the discourse of Marcos is strengthen. Then, it is worth noting that the subaltern characters in the novel now are distinguished more in terms in gender rather than by their ethnicity. Finally, the self portrait of Marcos as the bearer of history is in the antithesis of his earlier portraits, which always emphasized his subordinate role in relation to Indigenous people. But the most radical change is that with his openly ideological discourse structure, Marcos seems to abandon his previous critical discourse which he emphasized as a sign of difference of EZLN [The Zapatista National Liberation
