[en] The appearance of local pull-in modes has been noticed during electromechanical microdevices topology optimization. The goal of the present research is to study the influence of material properties (mechanical and electrical) modeling for intermediate densities to see if an appropriate choice allows avoiding such local modes. At first, a simple 1D model is developed to study the influence of the material properties interpolation. Finally, we evaluate if the conclusions from the 1D model can help to prevent the appearance of local modes for a 2D topology optimization problem.
