Abstract :
[en] This paper tackles the complex problem of an Optimal Power Flow (OPF) by the Interior Point Method (IPM). Two interior point algorithms are presented and compared, namely the pure primal-dual and the predictor-corrector respectively. Among various OPF objectives, emphasis is put on two classical ones: the maximization of power system loadability and the minimization of the amount of load curtailment. Illustrative examples on three test systems of 60, 118 and 300 buses are provided.
