Abstract :
[en] The identification of a single degree of freedom non-linear system is performed on experimental data using two different techniques : a method based on the Wavelet transform and a Direct Parameter estimation method. Both techniques are based on the analysis of the system free responses and result in the estimation of linear and non-linear physical parameters. The agreement between the two methods was found to be encouraging and opens to the possibility of extending them to the analysis of more complicated systems.
