Abstract :
[en] The purpose of this work is to evaluate the potential of metal
oxide gas sensors array for methane measurement with an
UAS. Methane samples, prepared in laboratory as well as
collected on site, were measured by a lab-made device
consisting of six-gas sensors. Results showed for some
sensors a good sensitivity even with low methane
concentration (3-80 ppmv). However, PCA revealed that the
presence or absence of methane in field samples is not clearly
identifiable. A strong separation between field samples data
and lab-made sample data was also observed. This suggests
us to be careful when applying a model calibrated in a
laboratory for field prediction.
