Implantação de um sistema de manejo para o assentamento Margarida Alves localizado no município de Bambuí - MG

This work aimed to propose adequate practices of herd management and grazing lands and improvements in quality of milk and administration of property in the settlement Margarida Alves, in the city of Bambuí - MG. The university extension, through technical assistance, is an excellent vehicle to bring settlers to information about sustainability and farming practices. The settlement Margarida Alves, currently houses 49 families and the main economic activity is dairy cattle. They were initially given four properties that met the profile proposed development and to better the properties of the activities were arranged in two blocks A and B. On average, there was a 25% increase in productivity and a significant increase in body score of two to three animals. The milk quality, the team identified the need to improve hygiene at milking management. The management team is reviewing the rural revenue each month seeking to reduce the cost and increase household income. The activities undertaken are meeting the general expectations of the project team and assisted by the same families. The development of dairy farming in the settlement is satisfactory, since the herd is improving gradually, increasing productivity and achieved the goals set.
