[en] The detailed analysis of two examples of the rhetorical topoi used by the anonymous author of the second part of the <sonf of the Albigensian Crusade reveal the extent of his skillfulness in manipulating literary conventions. In the service of his ideological agenda, he uses and subverts several lyrical motifs in order to give a positive courtly connotation to his portrait of the Meridional resistantes.
