Abstract :
[en] Several studies have been done on the agency relationship in the social economy (Spear, R., 2004; Huybrechts, et al, 2013.), but few studies focused on the chain agency relationship (Jegers,M. et al.,2012). Recently, Manirambona, C.(2013) showed that a chain agency relationship has materialized in Africa through the financing circuit of the actors in relation: foreign donors-international NGOs-local NGOs-endogenous groups-beneficiaries. By essence, an agency relationship exists when the mandate delegates to the mandatory a portion of his authority (Jensen & Meckling, W.H.,1976). This problem happens whenever there is the presence of elements that affect the basic assumptions of the agency relationship such as opportunism, asymmetric information (Nyssen, M.,1998). Among these ones, there are elements of context, which result from the distance. The distance has attracted more interest in the literature on the company internationalization by approaching through the psychic distance concepts (Johanson et Vahlne,1977). The basic principle of most of the researches is that increasing the distance increases uncertainty and a potential risk of information asymmetry between partners in relation (Hutzschenreuter et al., 2014). Given this impressive literature addressing the concept of psychic distance leads to a high complexity of information asymmetry strengthening the agency problem in international trade, it is striking that we lack a literature of psychic distance effect on the agency relationship in social economy, even less when the latter is in Chain. So, we ask then the question of how the psychic distance influences the agency relationship between different levels of actors in relation in the NGO world. This study proposes a combination of differentiated theories between economic, socio-cultural theories and agency theory, thus an empirical examination through a case study of the factors influence of the psychic distance components (cultural, governance and economic distances) on the agency relationship.
