Abstract :
[en] Bariatric surgery has become a main therapy of type 2 diabetes in the obese population. The best surgical procedure to achieve diabetes control remains debated. Gastric bypass would be the preferred option according to its incretin stimulating potential. We compared in this study gastric bypass surgery to a pure restrictive procedure in terms of diabetes control at 1 year.
