Abstract :
[en] Abstract: In this report the results of analysis of modern geo-ecological situation in areas of uranium mining and milling in the territory of Kyrgyzstan are presented. Major threats for the mountain environment and citizens which are connected to mining and processing of the uranium are due to the contamination of the hydrosphere by radio nuclides, and due to the stimulation of dangerous natural and technological processes (landslides, mudflows, destruction of the tailings and dumps) with unfavorable ecological consequences.
