Abstract :
[en] This study begins by giving a detailed account of the poststructuralist rereading by Jean-François Lyotard of Immanuel Kant's writings on the sublime. The aesthetic of the sublime is, according to Lyotard, the secret motive of avant-garde art and literature. This hypothesis is confronted with the work of the Flemish avant-garde writer Paul van Ostaijen. The resulting interpretations shed new light on this crucial oeuvre.
