Fondements théoriques des essais accélérés d'usure des outils

[en] Accelerated wear tests of tools are used from the pioneering works of brandsma in 1936. But their justification is often somewhat intuitive. A formalized description of these test is presented, based upon an analysis of the conditions of validity of the cumulative damage principle. This gives the basis for a comparison between proposed procedures. It is found that some of them make use of stronger hypotheses and are thus of less theoretical value.
Researchers ; Professionals
A summarized form of this research was presented in may 1994 under the title "Fondements théoriques et classification des essais accélérés d'usure d'outils", Troisième Congrès national belge de mécanique théorique et appliquée, Liège.
