Abstract :
[en] This chapter is a part of the Federal Compendium 2014 "Poverty in Belgium". It deals for the first time with the problem of poverty amongst self-employed people, showing first the statistical magnitude of the problem and exploring then, from a qualitative analysis, the main causes and managerial errors leading a self-employed people to poverty. [fr] Ce chapitre de l'Annuaire Fédéral 2014 'Pauvreté en Belgique" traite pour la première fois du problème de l'état de pauvreté parmi les indépendants, en proposant d'abord une approche statistique de l'ampleur du problème et en analysant ensuite, au départ d'une analyse quantitative, les causes et erreurs managériales qui amènent un indépendant dans une situation de pauvreté.
