Abstract :
[en] A colorimetric method for the determination of lipase activity in soil has been developed. Using p-nitrophenyl butyrate as substrate, soil samples are incubated at 30 degreesC and pH 7.25 for 10 min. After cooling on ice and centrifugation, the released p-nitrophenol is determined at 400 nm. To allow for the adsorption of p-nitrophenol onto soil, a calibration curve is prepared in the presence of soil.
