DYNAMIQUES DE L’AGRICULTURE ET DE LA RURALITÉ D’UNE COMMUNE DANS LE DELTA DU FLEUVE ROUGE DANS LE CONTEXTE DE LA RÉNOVATION ÉCONOMIQUE DE 1980 À L’HEURE ACTUELLE: LE CAS DE LA COMMUNE DE CAM HOANG, DISTRICT DE CAM GIANG, PROVINCE DE HAI DUONG

After 20 years of economical renovation, Vietnamese agriculture and rural dynamic
present a new face, in particular in the Red River Delta. Through our analysis approach of
principle agricultural historical evolutions according to farming systems to aim a better
understand of the way the farmers adapt themselves to the actual economic conditions and to
unstop the evolutional tendencies of the agriculture at Cam Hoang commune, Hai Duong
province in this delta. The high-yield rice varieties occupied 90% of the area. The third harvest
is strong developed in the 1980-1990 but it is nowadays reduced by a fort influence of the price
of the inputs and outputs. However, the limited area in the cultivation per labor active is one of
important factors concerned the decides to change their agricultural production activities. The
agricultural change is from rice-fields with limited productivity to fruit-farming, then excavate a
pond for aquatic production, animal breeding, ornamental plant with the aim to increase the
income per an area unit. But the demands’ capital in the process of agricultural production and
official outstanding debts in the farm households, occupy 68% of this commune with average of
12.7 millions per a farm household.
