Abstract :
[en] Different type of human papillomavruses (HPV) can occur on the male genitals. The most frequent manifestation are condylomata acuminata (CA). Ninety percent of CA is linked to HPV types 6 and 11 that are non-oncogenic. The oncogenic PHV types, among others 16,18,31 and 42 can be evidenced in a significant number of patients presenting bowenoid papulosis. Bowen's disease, penile and anal intra-epithelial neoplasia (PIN, AIN), especially the high grades, and invasive epidermoid cancer of the penis, oral and anal region. Patients exhibiting an immunodeficiency affecting the cellular mediated immunity are particulary at risk to develop persistent cervical cancer due to HPV 16 and 18. The quadrivalent vaccin furthermore prevends HPV 6 and 11 related genital warts and could reduce the incidence of AIN.
