Abstract :
[en] Aesthetic results in implantology are determined by the harmony between the dental prostheses and the soft tissues. To reach an optimal result, each single step of the treatment has a great importance, from the smile analyses to the final restoration delivery. The goal of this lecture is to describe how to elaborate a treatment planning for single and multiple tooth replacement in the aesthetic zone. A decision tree for the surgical protocols will be proposed according to our clinical experience at the university of Liège and, the current scientific evidences. The biological concept of the use of biomaterial in extraction socket preservation and bone regeneration will be also discussed. The overall objective is, from an initial clinical situation, to determine the appropriate treatment approach.
