[en] The aims of this qualitative research is to understand how the teaching methods of nursing teachers inhance the student's competencies development. Eight nursing teachers were interviewed in a non-directive approach. The data were analysed with a qualitative method: "structural analysis method". The results showed that their methods are in majority in a transmissive and behavioral model; an inadequacy between teaching methods and pedagogical goals; an abivalent and unclear understanding of their role; a lack of coherence in the assesment methods. To conclude, various strategies are proposed on institutional and national levels to support the implementation of a competence-based approach in nursing training.
