Abstract :
[en] This paper summarises the results of a research project entitled "Lateral buckling of steel I beams under fire conditions", where 120 experimental and numerical tests were performed on IPE100 beams, submitted to temperatures varying from 20 to 600 degrees. A new proposal is made for the buckling resistance moment of a laterally unrestrained beam under fire condition. This new proposal is safer than the Eurocode 3 formulas.
