Abstract :
[en] Studying on animal production systems plays an important role in order to understand well about animal production as well as to determine strategies for livestock production development. Therefore, in 2007, a total of 90 households in 3 communes of Cam Giang district, Hai Duong province were surveyed in order to diagnose and describe animal production systems. It was found that there were five principal animal production systems in this region. The system differs from others by both kind of animal raised and intensive levels. The richer households have more capital and experience on animal production than others, so they usually choose intensive models. On contrary, the households in difficulties always choose mixed or semi intensive systems. It has a lot of disadvantages that influence on the animal production of the farmers such as lack of technical knowledge, epizooties, price variation, etc,. It needs comprehensive measures to solve these problems to have sustainable development of animal production
