Abstract :
[en] In close relationship with the course of Materials Selection, this report studies the best-suited materials for mechanical watches. To do so, it introduces what are mechanical watches and how they work. Then, it focuses on existing solutions, from where it looks after new and/or innovative solutions. This, thanks to a computer software (CES) and additional resources. It eventually discusses about all selective criteria to choose from to get the most optimized watch one could.
