[en] Binding and release of various cations by polarization of polypyrrole based exchange-resins has been studied. The reversibility of the process has been investigated by electrochemical and nuclear techniques. It clearly depends on both the exchanged-cation and the sulfonated doping-ion. The selectivity of the process has also been analyzed by binding experiments from a mixture of two cations.
