Abstract :
[en] The study of roof frames on Poitiers cathedral is espacially difficult regarding the number of phases from medieval parts to restorations during 18th century. Due to a important dendrochronological analysis, it was possible to establish that most of the original medieval parts of roofs remains despite the fact that archives said that the roof was "rebuilt" during the 18th century. In this context, Poitiers roofs became a important "jalon" for the general typo-chronology of roofs in Western France.
