Abstract :
[en] Nonlinearity is a frequent occurrence in engineering structures. It is at the origin of rich and complex dynamical phenomena that cannot be observed in linear structures. The analysis of the dynamics of nonlinear systems therefore warrants the development of rigorous and effective methods and is the focus of this presentation. Several theoretical, computational and experimental methods will be presented and applied to a real-life, full-scale nonlinear structure, the EADS- Astrium SmallSat spacecraft.
