Abstract :
[en] This paper attempts to examine some mobilisations of the mask motif in the French “fin de siècle” literature (from booklets such as Les Hommes d’aujourd’hui to Le Livre des masques) and to discuss the sociological stakes and meanings of this recurrence which seems to oscillate between tribute and parody.
