Aspects of the ecology of the wood-inhabiting fungi of Laing Island (Papua New Guinea)

Dans le cadre d'une étude sur l'écologie des champignons lignicoles de l'île de Laing (Papouasie Nouvelle-Guinée), les espèces les plus fréquemment rencontrées (en particulier: Schizophyllum commune, Daldinia eschscholzii et Trametes scabrosa) ont été cartographiées. Les résultats montrent qu'il existe une bonne corrélation entre le type de répartition des champignons et le degré de couverture végétale. In the framework of a study of the ecology of wood-inhabiting fungi on Laing Island (Papua New-Guinea), the most frequently occurring species (namely Schizophyllum commune, Daldinia eschscholzii and Trametes scabrosa) were mapped. The results show a good correlation between the distribution of the fungi and the degree of vegetation cover.
