Volume tables have been constructed for the two main exotic species planted in the Mamora forest. As to Eucalyptus camaldulensis, the tables concern first rotation stands aged from 4 to 37 years, spred over the whole forest and over the bordering zone of the Rharb. Regarding Pinus pinaster var. atlantica, the examinated plantations were 10 to 34 years old, and situated only in the western part of the Mamora. The basic data have been collected since the year 1945 in several experimental plots of the Forestry Research Station of Rabat. Measurements of girth outside bark were made at one meter intervals, after felling of 540 E. camaldulensis and 571 P. pinaster var. atlantica sample trees. On this basis, regression equations have been calculated with the least squares method. The volume tables show heavy stem wood outside bark, excluding stump and branches, as a function of girth at breast height and of total height, or as a function of girth only. For 161 stems of E. camaldulensis and 222 of P. pinaster var. atlantica, bark proportion was determinated. Mean bark percentages amount respectively to 21 and 26. [less ▲]
