The development strategies were conveyed via the messages that the project carriers wanted to get across to the six hundred and fifty people present at the conference, specifically by producing posters for the occasion and by completing a form per project that was published in the exhibition’s catalogue. The projects were relativized through a reading grid that grouped them according to the level of territory considered (neighbouring region level, supra-communal level, conglomeration level, municipal level and on a local scale) in order to release their various dimensions as well as the territorial development issues that sustain them. Three issues were particularly highlighted by it: the volition to develop real interregional and transborder co-operation, the major role of the urban revitalisation projects and the innovative and transposable nature of the projects developed on a local scale. It is designed for territorial workers - agents of local development and social-cultural workers -, provides support and help for the design and implementation of participative approaches in the context of territorial governance of public spaces. User-friendliness and simplicity will be favoured in the conception of the dashboard. The research also focuses on the development of tools and methods to raise awareness and to ensure decision-making processes integrate sustainable development principles. [more ▼] Although tools and methods are of major importance for territorial intelligence, each action research begins with the creation of a network of actors and researchers. How to do it? Which strategies are the most efficient and ethically acceptable? The paper analyses how stakeholders of a public place were joined to work together on a new approach of management and use of a certain public place. It compares the different networking strategies used in five case studies of the Topozym action-research. [less ▲] Detailed reference viewed: 166 (38 ULg) |
