[more ▼] The new set of RILEM recommendations specifies test methodologies for determining the different mechanical properties of concrete at high temperatures. The new set of recommendations applies to all types of concrete used in construction, including high strength concrete. The recommendations specify that the environmental and testing conditions associated with service or accident conditions of structural concrete at high temperature need to be considered, while using these building materials for construction activities. The recommendations are also applicable to concrete in the temperature range of 20°C-750°C. The recommendations also contain several results of the experimental investigations conducted, to examine the behavior of concrete at high temperature that depend on test conditions.
