This retrospective study has been carry out in the Monastery bovine exploitation of Kokoubou (department of Borgou in Benin). Data were collected and analysed from individual cow records of 1967 to 1989. It concerned 150 Borgou cows and 838 calving intervals. The following parameters have been determined: monthly frequency of calving and calving interval. Monthly frequencies of calving are not regrouped in rainy season. Calving intervals have decreased with lactation numbers, while the season presents no effect. [less ▲]
