The effects of cis-dichloro-diammino-platinum(II) (cis-Pt) bound to DNA have been compared to those of free cis-Pt in mouse Ehrlich tumor cells, in peritoneal macrophages and in chick embryo fibroblasts cultivated in vitro.Cis-Pt has no antimitotic activity anymore when linked tp DNA. This would be due to the fact that free cis-Pt is not released from cis-Pt-DNA complex inside lysosomes. [less ▲]
